Hey There!

Mae Design Studio was born from a lifelong love of interiors and a desire to create spaces that feel both intentional and lived-in. What began as a creative outlet has grown into a design studio grounded in experience, thoughtful process, and a deep respect for how people truly live in their homes.

I’ve spent over a decade working across residential, commercial, and hospitality design, collaborating with interior designers, architects, and project teams to bring spaces from concept to reality. Today, Mae Design Studio reflects my personal design approach, one rooted in calm, clarity, and lasting function.

All About Me

I’m Maegan, founder and principal designer of Mae Design Studio.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from San Diego State University, and went on to work professionally as an interior designer within established firms before launching Mae Design Studio in 2021.

Much of my early career was spent collaborating on projects under other studios, which shaped my technical foundation and design sensibility.

As Mae Design Studio continues to grow, I’m intentionally building a portfolio that reflects my own voice and values — thoughtful, livable, and enduring design.

My family and I currently reside in Oceanside, California, and we’re preparing for a move to Idaho in 2026. While Southern California has been home for many years, this next chapter represents an exciting opportunity to design with a new landscape, pace, and way of living in mind.

BEYOND DESIGN

Outside of work, I’m a wife, mom, and lifelong observer of everyday moments. My husband and I have been together for over 14 years and married for 7, and we have two young children who keep life full, busy, and joyful. Our husky, Raya, is almost always close by.

Some of my favorite moments are the quiet ones — coffee in hand, a candle burning, rain outside, and watching my children play nearby. These small, lived-in moments are what inspire my design philosophy: spaces should support real life, not compete with it.

MY APPROACH

Design has always been more than a job for me — it’s how I understand space, routine, and comfort. I love helping clients visualize what’s possible and guiding them through the process of bringing it to life in a way that feels clear, collaborative, and grounded.

At Mae Design Studio, my goal is simple:
to create spaces that feel good to live in today, and still make sense years from now.

Warmly,
